The top menu contains the primary actions for managing content and releases.
Module Selection & Settings/Help Info
The module selector allows users to switch between the available CXC modules in Content Builder.
Available modules may include:
Online Return Center
Includes In-Store Return Center functionality if configured.
Track & Communicate
Email communication templates related to shipment tracking and customer notifications.
Help & Support
Contains information about releases, roles, permissions and system configuration.
Editor / Releases
Editor
The Editor displays the selected email in preview mode.
Contributors can edit content by clicking editable elements that are highlighted within the email preview.
Typical editable elements include:
- Text
- Images
- Buttons
- Links
Releases
The Releases view provides access to the current release, draft versions and historical releases.
Features include:
- View current release information
- Access previous releases
- Review audit logs
- Check who made changes
- Check when changes were made
- Add release notes and change descriptions
Typical release notes may reference:
- Service Desk tickets
- Change Requests
- Project tasks
Export / Import
Export
Users can export all content from the currently selected module into an Excel template.
The export includes:
- Event Keys
- Module Keys
- Link Keys
- Image Keys
- Alt Text information
- Image dimensions
Additional worksheets include:
- Welcome page with instructions
- Metadata page
- Client ID
- Release Version
- Additional system information
Import
Previously exported Excel files can be imported again after modification.
During import, the file is automatically validated.
Validation results are categorized as:
Warnings
Import is allowed.
Errors
Import is blocked until resolved.
Warnings and errors are highlighted to help users correct the file before importing.
Email Download
The Download feature allows users to export emails from the selected module.
Available download formats:
- HTML
- EML
Additional options:
- Download all Events
- Download all Languages
- Download carrier-specific versions
- Use Preview Data presets
Preview Data presets allow users to download emails with customized test data already applied.
Send Testmail
The Send Testmail feature allows users to send test emails for review purposes.

Validate Release
The Validate feature checks the selected content before publishing.

Publish / Draft
Users can create new draft versions or publish releases.
Draft (Blue): Creates or updates a draft release.
Publish (Green): Creates a published release.
Publishing makes the release available according to the configured deployment process.
